Susan M. Vanden Heuvel, of SVH Interiors, Ltd. has created an interior design service that caters to all the lifestyles of her varied clientele, whether residential or commercial. She offers not just design solutions, but also elegant and timeless environments meant to be enjoyed and admired.

Susan's focus was on developing a full-service independent design organization that would cater to both the middle and upper income brackets, while interning in the upholstery, drapery and retail furnishing trades. She finalized her training at C.W. Post University and has never looked back.

Susan's commercial projects include designing restaurants and model condominium apartments as well as setting the prototype for the interior design of North Fork Bank's headquarters in Melville, Long Island. Not only did she create their new corporate color scheme but also the design concept that was carried through in the bank's entire main and branch offices.

Her residential clients have commissioned her to handle projects as diverse as total renovations in Old Greenwich, Connecticut or the design of the entire interior of a 7000 square foot home being newly constructed on Long Island, as well as redoing the look of a window, living room, bathroom or kitchen in an existing home.

Susan prides herself on working with her clientele, no matter what the scale of the projects that they bring to her. Being able to design elegant and usable spaces they can enjoy gives her great artistic and personal satisfaction.
